USAGE
For best results in the home garden the products should be used
as a
fertilising mulch to a depth of 15mm with repeated applications
of 5mm per
annum. At this rate the product will rapidly promote plant growth,
enhance
root development, inhibit fungal pathogens in plants, and will also
inhibit
weed development. The soil profile will be reinvigorated with an
increased
capacity to retain moisture due to increased humic levels. Because
of this
high water retention property the product should only be used sparingly
on
the surface in a potted environment.
The product can also be used as an inter row feeding mulch for
vegetables. For fruit and ornamental trees it should be spread to
the tree drip line taking care to avoid contact with the tree trunk
to prevent collar rot. It may also be worked lightly into the top
10cm of a productive bed prior to planting.
Pastoralists are another emerging end user of the product as widespread
community concern for sustainability in agriculture is recognised.
The
product can be used as an annual pasture topdressing application
supplying vital, water retentive humic material as well as a highly
significant slow
release, mix of major and minor nutrients and trace elements. Its
buffering
properties will help to modify acidic soil pH levels with long term
usage of
the neutral to slightly alkaline product.

APPLICATION RATES
ORNAMENTAL NATIVE PLANTS AND FRUIT TREES:
O.R.-90 should be spread to the drip line of trees and used as a
mulch to a
depth of 15mm so as to condition soil at the root feeding zone.
Avoid contact
with the trunk of trees to prevent collar rot.
FLOWERS:
O.R.-90 should be used as a mulch around plants at time of planting
to a
depth of 10mm and again when buds appear on plants to a depth of
5mm.
VEGETABLES:
O.R.-90 should be used as a mulch inter-rowed to a depth
of 10mm at the
time of planting. Another application in the second half of the
growing
season to a depth of 5mm is beneficial to production.
O.R.-90 can be applied at any time prior to
planting and worked lightly into the top 7-10cm
(3-4 inches) of soil.
O.R.-90 can be applied as a surface cover (i.e. as
a mulch) and left undisturbed on the top of the
soil.
O.R.-90 can be applied inter-row with intensive
cropping to form a mulch between rows of
vegetables or vines.
AS A LIQUID FERTILISER:
Mix an equal volume of water and O.R.-90. Leave for 24 hours to
settle
before using.
